Time for an Update and MORE POEMS!
I have noticed that the number of visitors to this site has more than tripled in the last few weeks, which is fine, although like most capitalist-inclined writers I notice I am not selling any of my new books online. Oh, well. God is beyond good to me, and he is allowing me to see his creation in Greece starting next week. I will be taking a tour of the Eastern coastline of Greece, including another visit to Istanbul, with a group from the church I attend. It promises to be a bit less strenuous than the trip to Turkey last year, but I am a year older and have noticed that my body is slowing down a bit more than it was in my fifties and sixties. Mostly, it's a stomach malady I am concerned about. I can walk anywhere if needed, and we really did in Turkey.

I am reading Wuthering Heights and East of Eden. I decided to focus on one and finish it, so I'm in WH. And I can't say I am enjoying it. Why is this called a love story? It's story of codependence, psychotic obsessions, and revenge for no real reason. Why would anyone idealize Cathy and Heathcliff? They are dreadful. Everyone is dreadful and stupid. I may do a podcast comparing it to Jane Eyre. But that's unfair; Jane Eyre is close to my favorite. East of Eden is no better but at least I haven't read it before.
Just because I am told a book is great does not mean I have to think it is or like it. You are free to feel the same.
Some poetry: This first one I think is Emily calling poetry "possibility." Which is cool. Poetry does give a freedom prose is not allowed.
I dwell in Possibility -
A fairer House than Prose -
More numerous of Windows -
Superior - for Doors -
Of Chambers as the Cedars -
Impregnable of eye -
And for an everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky -
Of Visitors - the fairest -
For Occupation - This -
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
To gather Paradise -

This last is not a poem, but something I need to do.
